Vikram Malhotra’s Abundantia Entertainment has announced the launch of a new division focused on using artificial intelligence to enhance storytelling. Called ‘Abundantia aiON’, the unit will develop and produce films, series, and characters by combining creative talent with AI tools across ideation, visual development, and production.
Described as an effort to “unlock human creativity and imagination,” Abundantia aiON is built on the philosophy of “Human First. AI Empowered.” The company said the division will explore how AI can act as a creative enabler, helping creators bring their ideas to life and tell stories that go beyond traditional formats.
The launch follows Abundantia’s partnership with Collective Artists Network to produce Chiranjeevi Hanuman – The Eternal, a Made-in-AI feature film scheduled for release in 2026.
Abundantia said aiON will keep human authorship at the centre of every story while collaborating with leading technology companies to build the creative infrastructure. It will also look to train writers, artists, and filmmakers in new storytelling methods, creating opportunities to work with emerging technologies.
Speaking about the initiative, Vikram Malhotra, Founder & CEO of Abundantia Entertainment, said: “At Abundantia, we’ve always believed technology should amplify imagination, not replace it. With Abundantia aiOn, we want storytellers to think beyond the possible and tell stories that are emotionally richer, visually bolder, and globally relevant. AI isn’t here to replace creativity—it’s here to magnify it. This is not about machines telling stories. We see AI as the ultimate collaborator and a creative ally that empowers human imagination. We see AI as creative infrastructure — a force multiplier for human imagination.”
The first slate of projects under the new division will be announced soon.
The move comes as Abundantia readies a strong line-up, including Subedaar, an action drama directed by Suresh Triveni and starring Anil Kapoor; Daldal, an Amazon Original series featuring Bhumi Pednekar; an untitled comedy with Madhuri Dixit, Triptii Dimri, Dharna Durga, and Ravi Kishan; and a business drama series directed by Hansal Mehta.
