Former Strictly Come Dancing star Debbie McGee has issued a warning to Dianne Buswell after she hit back at the judges' criticism over her dance with Neighbours star Stefan Dennis that earned them just 17 points.
The 66-year-old actor is this year's oldest contestant, but he didn't impress with his Cha Cha to Give It Up by KC and The Sunshine Band on Saturday night - leading judge Motsi Mabuse to tell them they needed more rehearsal time.
Highlighting numerous errors in their routine, which prompted boos from the audience in the studio, she said: "There were guys, sorry, let's just be honest. Just let's try next time to rehearse and stick to the routine."
Pregnant Dianne, who is expecting her first child with partner Joe Sugg, immediately hit back at the criticism, pointing out they were already practising a lot, and said: "I don't know how much more we can rehearse, Motsi!"

Now ex-Strictly star Debbie McGee has waded in - and despite saying she thought Dianne and Stefan's performance was a "lovely dance" - she thought there was some merit in the judges' comments.
Writing in her column for the Daily Express, the 66-year-old said: "I saw there was some backlash to the criticism Motsi gave to Dianne and Stefan about rehearsing more, but I have actually been enjoying the judges giving constructive criticism.
"I think the comments are very fair, and it is a good balance of not knocking their confidence but also giving them something to work on.
"What Motsi said is only what you'd naturally say when someone stumbles, but the judges don't know how much time each couple is spending each week on rehearsals, and maybe that would change their comments. Dianne and the viewers have to remember it is a competition, and the judges are there to be honest."
Going on to praise Stefan, Debbie said she hoped the criticism this early on in the BBC show "doesn't get to him" and that she hopes he "can continue his journey on the show".
She added: "Dianne has been an absolute trooper for doing so much while she's pregnant - she is incredible. I got why she responded why she did.
"It is easy for professionals to be protective of their partners, and the week can be very draining. However, I have to say so far, the judges have been spot on this year."
The couple endured more chaos when Stefan took a tumble after their routine as he walked off the stage and over to the judges to hear their feedback.
As he climbed the steps there was panic as he misplaced his footing and tripped up the stairs. A panicky Dianne caught him and exclaimed: "Golly gosh. Be careful, be careful." Thankfully the Aussie was unharmed as he laughed off the stumble.
