Tej Pratap Yadav, the elder son of Lalu Yadav, who has been expelled from the RJD, wished his younger brother Tejashwi Yadav a happy birthday. Responding to media questions, he said, "It's Tejashwi's birthday, happy birthday to him. May his future be bright, we bless him." He also said about the increased security he has, "These people will even get me killed."
Since his expulsion from the party, Tej Pratap Yadav has been living away from his family and is contesting the elections this time by forming his own new party. Tej Pratap said that the election atmosphere is very good and his candidates are winning.

The central government has provided Tej Pratap Yadav with Y-plus security. When the media asked him about the increased security, Tej Pratap said that his life was in danger and that people wanted to kill him.
Tej Pratap Yadav is still seeking votes for his candidates on the last day of the second phase of campaigning. Tej Pratap said he has four programs scheduled today in different assembly constituencies.
