The Repair Shop favourite Angelina Bakalarou has announced she is engaged to her long-term partner minutes into the show in a rare personal update. Over the years, the show's resident paper conservator has become a valued member of the team since she made her debut in 2023. On Wednesday (October 1), the 36-year-old expert returned to the beloved barn in Singleton with her fellow cast members, where she shared her excitement on the BBC show.

The Greek restorationist was asked about how life has been for her since she was last on the show when she excitedly squealed, "I'm engaged!" The brunette beauty proudly held up her hand, which now rocked a beautiful gold ring with a bright red stone at the heart.

It didn't take long before viewers flooded to social media to pass on their congratulations online. One user penned: "Congratulations on your engagement Angelina, I hope you have many happy and healthy years together [heart emoji]."

Another agreed: "Congratulations on your engagement" as a third echoed: "You two make a handsome couple, congratulations!" A fourth chimed in with: "Many congratulations to you both, wonderful news [champagne bottle emoji]."

Judging from her Instagram page, Angelina has been in a long-term relationship with her boyfriend, Simone, for nearly 10 years. Although it's not known how long the couple has been together, her fiancé first appeared on his girlfriend's page back in 2015.

The couple love jetting off to exotic locations together and have holidayed in Doha and Sardinia in recent years. The BBC star has been living in the UK for 11 years and is currently settled in London. She often shares glimpses inside her stunning city pad, which is filled with plenty of greenery and artwork.

Angelina made her TV debut on The Repair Shop after receiving an email from the show's producers asking if she wanted to join the cast. Recalling the life-changing moment, she revealed: "One thing led to another: interviews, videos, chats.

"And before I knew it, I was in the barn, doing my first item. So yeah, it was quite surreal." Fans will have to stay tuned to see if the TV star will reveal more about her plans for their upcoming nuptials in the future.
